During her spring break, Sophie, my friend’s daughter, modeled for me.  Sophie shared her thoughts about modeling and art.

“For the past couple of days, I have been an artist model for Andrea.  There is a little procedure before getting into your poses.  First, I had to curl my hair and do my make-up according to what Andrea wanted, of course.  Second, Andrea picked out the clothes I was going to be wearing that day.  Lastly, you have to make sure that you have a good posture, but be relaxed at the same time.  We picked the poses mainly by just being natural, and then Andrea would decide whether or not the pose would look dramatic.  I would definitely model again. It was really enjoyable.  The part that I honestly did not like was having to hold the same pose for a long time.  My pose was at a piano where I had my elbow on the keys, and that hurt a lot after a while. I would love to be the artist myself because I have a lot of ideas for the pictures I would draw.  I do draw sometimes, but I usually never draw the faces and the hands.  And feet are drawn somewhat irregularly. Some future poses that I would like to try are mainly outside, in a field or on a beach with someone else.  After modeling, I do see paintings and drawings differently.  I would love to have this opportunity again!"
